Self-Ligating Metal Braces

Made of high-quality, durable stainless steel, metal self-ligating braces eliminate the need for elastic or metal ties, and instead use a permanently installed moveable component to entrap the wire. We offer both Empower and In-Ovation brackets, a style of braces that make it harder for plaque to build up, so it is easier to keep your teeth clean. Without the presence of rubber bands, these braces are low-profile, more comfortable, and aesthetic.

Self-Ligating Ceramic Braces

We also offer Empower and In-Ovation made ceramic braces. Just as efficient as their metal counterpart, ceramic braces boast an additional aesthetic benefit of less noticeable, clear brackets. They are most popular with adult patients due to their cosmetic appeal.

Aligners

Invisalign Gradually and gently shift your teeth into place without the use of metal brackets or wire! This system, available to adult patients with certain orthodontic bite problems, utilizes a series of clear overlay templates called aligners that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.

MTM Clear-Aligner MTM stands for “Minor Tooth Movement”. If you are an adult experiencing slight overcrowding or shifting, MTM is a great option. Like Invisalign, MTM is non-intrusive with zero attachments to the teeth required! This cost effective aligner pin points minor anterior misalignments with its unique “open pathway” architecture that allows teeth to move easily and naturally into position.

Retainers

Once we remove your braces, you will transition into the retention stage of your treatment through implementation of a retainer. In order to maintain the results you achieved from braces, a retainer is key to the success of the entire orthodontic process. Your retention phase will last a minimum of 24 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on the utilization of your retainers, so be sure to follow through with the hard work you've put in so far.

Hawley Retainers

One of the most common types of retainer, the Hawley is a removable retainer made of a combination of metal wires and sturdy acrylic, and is designed to keep your teeth in place. This retainer is specially made from impressions of your teeth so that it fits snugly and comfortably in the roof of your mouth, while any wire or acrylic framing keeps your teeth in perfect position. The acrylic can also be personalized with a large number of colors and/or patterns.

Fixed Retainers

One of the best ways to prevent your lower teeth from shifting, bonded lingual retainers are cemented directly to the inside surface of your lower canines (eye teeth). As with removable retainers, it is important to keep them clean. When brushing, carefully clean the inside of your lower teeth as well as the wire. If your retainer breaks at any time during the retention phase, please do not adjust it yourself. Call us immediately to schedule an emergency appointment.

Essix Retainer

The Essix retainer is a clear removable retainer that fits over the entire arch of teeth. Essix retainers have no metal wires and are virtually invisible. They are very durable, inexpensive and easy to wear.
