Combining allopathic and complimentary therapies, Dr. Chira and her team offer non-surgical treatment in-office and work with leading orthognathic surgeons in the area if surgical work is needed to make sure all diagnosed treatment goals and expectations are met.   Dr. Chira is amongst the elite 25% of orthodontist who are board certified. Notably, she is the only board certified female orthodontist in the state of Vermont. Dr. Chira is a ‘seeker of knowledge’ and made an early career decision to provide the very best orthodontic care by seeking advanced education and training. Constantly looking for new and innovative treatment approaches, Dr. Chira has completed advanced courses on functional occlusion with the Roth/Williams International Society of Orthodontists, and recently completed an Arnett/Gunson Facial Reconstruction Course in Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery following her completion of courses in comprehensive Orthognathic Bioesthetic Rehabilitation for Restorative Dentists and Orthodontists. Functional occlusion and Arnett/Gunson’s FACEFAB approach goes beyond just straightening the teeth. It means looking at the relationships of the teeth, jaw, joints, and airway with an emphasis on creating a healthy bite that works in harmony with the body from head to toe.

Dr. Chira has actively integrated medical advancements such as 3-D imaging since its inception more than 15-years ago. The adoption of 3-D imaging provides a more comprehensive diagnoses for more stable and predictable outcomes. With the application of the PROPEL and AcceleDent systems, we are able to help accelerate treatment times for a more comfortable orthodontic experience.
